I'm heading back to my ol' stompin' grounds in Manhattan's East Village this Friday and coincidentally stumbled on some photos that I took this time last year, on a grey November weekend. They remind me of one of my all-time favourite books, Just Kids by Patti Smith. She writes about the 1960s Beatnik generation of artists, musicians, and writers that used to occupy the neighbourhood. I'm looking forward to feeling its moody essence once again.
Side note: I'm organizing my external hard drives (where I found these photos) and what a task! I don't want years upon years of travel + personal photos to get lost in cyberspace so I'm trying to organize and get my favourites developed, but man oh man the process is painful. If you have any photo organization tips + tricks, I'm all ears!
