Geoff and I had the best time exploring Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and golfing in Sarasota. We were there for six days so had a bit longer than a regular weekend to explore the area. My cousin Burke's girlfriend (hi Jess!) lives there and gave us some great recommendations. The best tip she gave was to explore as much of St. Petersburg (St. Pete's) as possible. I didn't realize how "hip" it was going to be - reminded me of a tropical Portland/Brooklyn.
I'll share more photos/details of our favourite finds in a later post - but in the meantime - I've had some questions about travel recos lately + as a result of trip planning frustrations, I thought that I would start sharing my own simple, curated travel guides.
Every time I travel somewhere new, I love asking friends' for recommendations and scouring travel blogs for local tips of the best coffee shops, restaurants, bars, brunch places etc. For years I've kept word documents/PDFs on hand to e-mail pals whenever they're looking for recos to places I've travelled to.
The problem I find with most travel blogs is that you have to skim through a lot of filler content and waste hours weeding through sponsored sh*t to find the real hidden gems in each place. I always wish that there was just ONE SIMPLE LIST with all the best spots on it that I could print off (that was curated by an actual human and not a company).
So with that in mind, I've decided to start sharing my own travel guides as free, downloadable/printable, one-page PDFs!
You can skip past all of the photos/videos/my ramblings of the trip and get a simple, clean list of my TOP TO DO's, where to EAT, DRINK, BRUNCH, and most importantly find COFFEE.
I'll kick it off with FLORIDA and slowly over the course of the next few months upload more and more. I just e-mailed my friend a Boston one so maybe I'll do that next.
Let me know if you'd like GLAMPING GUIDES down the road as well.
