On two separate occasions my friends, Alexandra and Lisa, shared with me these sweet emails that they receive from The Universe. At first I thought it was silly; what do you mean, "The Universe" sends you emails? Then I read some of them and realized they're such lovely little positive thoughts. They promised it wouldn't be more junkmail for my overflowing inbox as you can choose the day(s) you'd like to receive them. I signed up on a whim, not thinking too much of it, but now I really look forward to reading them. They're short, artfully worded and oddly re-assuring.
Our primary purpose is to provide you with a reminder service of life's everyday magic, how powerful you are, and how far you can reach. It's easy to lose sight of these truths, particularly living in a world that wants to insist that we are limited, aging creatures, stuck somewhere between luck and fate. A life properly lived is an easy life; it's not supposed to be hard, though we can make it that way with limited thinking, low expectations, or failing to see ourselves as we really are: infinite Beings of Light, fun loving gladiators of the Universe, adventurers just being human, with eternity before us and the power of our thoughts to shape it!

some of my notes from the universe
Happiness, dear Louise, is what greases the wheels of life. It's also what opens the floodgates, marshals the forces, commands the elements, raises the sun, aligns the stars, beats your heart, heals what hurts, turns the page, makes new friends, finds true love, calls the shots, waves the wand, connects the dots, feeds your mind, frees your soul, rocks the world, and pays compound interest.
Yeah, so easy to forget.
Start it; you don't have to be fancy.
Keep moving; you don't have to go crazy.
Visualize; you don't have to admit it.
See the end result; it doesn't have to be material.
Expect miracles; they don't have to be huge.
Pretend you've arrived; you don't have to dance on tables.
And above all else, Louise, have fun.
This is why you started it, right?
Life, what a trip -
